The Friends of the Library group works with the library staff to provide start-up funding for new programs or to supplement services not fully covered in the library's regular operating budget.  The Friends meet on the first Monday of each month at 7 pm in the library meeting room (no meetings in July or August). 

The Friends largest fundraiser is their annual book and bake sale, held at the library in September of each year.  Members are offered a preview of the books on sale, as well as free entrance to various programs sponsored by the Friends.  In addition, the Friends also host a mini-book sale at Norfolk Community Day.
