If indeed this woman is guilty of breaking her dog's leg with a baseball
bat, then depriving her dog of care, food, and water, all the while
keeping the dog in an unsafe environment, here's my plan for just
punishment:
Break her leg with a baseball bat, and then toss her in a cell. Don't
feed her anything for a couple of days, then check in on her to see how
she feels about it. (The key difference being that she could state how
she feels, whereas the dog couldn't.)I guarantee you this is going to be
more effective than a slap on the wrist, or a fine; and will absolutely
make her think twice before doing that again to a animal, (or maybe a
person,) the next time.
By the way, why isn't she paying for the care the dog needs? Those costs
should be imposed on her as well.
