Norfolk Church to Hold its Annual Harvest Festival
The Norfolk Federated Church will hold their annual Harvest Festival on Saturday September 27, 2003 at the church on the comer of Main Street and Route 115. The fair will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A children's on wheels parade will kick off the festivities. Children with their decorated bikes, wagons, scooters, carriages or ride on toys will meet in the MBTA Parking lot behind Dunkin Donuts at 9:30 am. Every child participating in the parade will get a free balloon, Entertainment will include: Capron Park Zoo Mobile, Franklin Police K9 demonstration, Kathy Ryan Dance Studio, and much more. There will be plenty of rides and games for children, arts and crafts tables, baked goods, home made apple pies, fresh produce, a giant flea market, silent auction and a Dunk the Deacon Booth. There will also be a 5k walk/run at 11:00 a.m.
The church will be holding its first frog jumping contest. This contest is open to any 3rd, 0', or 5th grader. Those planning to enter the contest must call the church A.S.A.P. to make their reservation or for more information. Only the first 10 eligible applicants will be accepted. The contest will take place on the North lawn of the parsonage at 10:00 a.m.
