Grants Available
Norfolk Cultural CouncilUntil October 16, the Norfolk Cultural Council is seeking applications to support community cultural programs and PASS, a ticket subsidy program for school-age children. Our funding comes from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
We support programs that promote excellence and service to the community in the arts, humanities or interpretive sciences. We evaluate applications on the basis of:
- Community support and involvement
- Evidence of track record and dedication of the applicant
- Support for diverse forms of cultural activities
- Financial need
Individuals and organizations may apply for general support - projects such as workshops, lectures, exhibitions, festivals, science education and artist projects. They may also apply for PASS funding to enable schools and youth groups to take students from Pre-K-12 to attend cultural performances outside of school. Activities must take place in physically accessible facilities.
We are particularly interested in supporting new programs and groups, and are happy to speak/meet with you as your prepare your application. For assistance, please telephone Shirley Boulay, Chair, at 508-520-0348. Required application forms are available in the Selectman's Office at Town Hall, and online at http://www.massculturalcouncil.org/grants/for_lcc/applicants/techass_tools.html. Your completed application must arrive at Norfolk Town Hall on or before October 16, 2000.
