Two Important Events Now Running On NCTV Cable

This week there are two important, recent events that are running this month on NCTV, Norfolk Community TV Cable. The first is the town of Norfolk's Candidates Night at which candidates for the town's up-coming election addressed the public and engaged in a question and answer period. It is an informative look at the candidates and the important issues facing the growing town. Highly recommended for Norfolk voters.

The second event was speaker Bob Bigelow, a former NBA first-round draft choice and four-year player. He quite openly and humorously discussed how to help adults balance their perspectives when it comes to youth sports of all ages. It is not about violence in sports, but rather, how all parents, no matter how well intentioned, need to understand the limitations and strengths of their children when it comes to sporting events. A highly thought provoking discussion worthy of all parents with children of any age.

Both events were sponsored by the Norfolk Community League, a non-partisan charitable giving organization in Norfolk. The views expressed do not necessarily represent those of the members or our Board of Directors. The Bob Bigelow event was also sponsored by the Norfolk Baseball Association, Pop Warner Football, Travel Soccer, Lion's Soccer and KP Walpole Hockey.
