Norfolk Community League Accepting Disbursement Requests

The Norfolk Community League (NCL) is currently accepting requests from area groups and causes for one of its annual disbursements. Funds raised this spring through events such as the Valentine's Silent Auction Dinner Dance and the Norfolk Nearly New Consignment Sale will be distributed during May 2002. Norfolk Community League is an organization consisting of over 150 families that dedicates itself to enhancing the quality of life for Norfolk residents, increasing involvement in activities that better the community and to strengthen community spirit. Funds raised during the year are distributed each January and May. Over the past five years, NCL has distributed in excess of $ 72,800 to groups such as the Norfolk Library, Norfolk Fire Department, Norfolk Police Department, H. Olive Day School, Freeman-Centennial Schools, Council on Aging, college scholarships, YMCA for camp scholarships and area preschools.
