The Norfolk Community Day 2002 Committee is putting the final touches on a plan that expands Community Day activities scheduled for June 8th at Holmes Transportation property on Myrtle Street in Norfolk.

In addition to the many popular activities provided in the past, there are a number of new rides, animal displays, fun activities and unique features. Please mark this date on your calendar and we will be providing additional information on this event in the weeks to come.

It is important to note that the Norfolk Community League will be holding their popular Road Race that morning as well. More details about this race will be provided in subsequent articles.

The Norfolk Lions have organized and run Community Day for 8 years. The Day has grown from a modest beginning to an event that Norfolk and surrounding towns look forward to attending. We strive to provide a wholesome day of family fun at a reasonable cost. Joining the Lions in sponsoring this year's event are Rodman Ford, the Foxboro Federal Savings and the Franklin YMCA.

This event is the premier Norfolk Lions community service project. It is our way of giving back to the community that has been so generous in supporting our fund raising activities for those less fortunate than ourselves.
