BioMap: The Map Without Roads
Stony Brook Nature Center, 108 North Street, Norfolk
Monday, May 6th 7:00 p.m.

On the BioMap, there are no street names or interstate numbers. It can't be used to find the newest shopping mall or subdivision. In fact, quite the opposite: it is the areas without roads and houses that are the focus of the BioMap. Natural boundaries are the guideposts of this new, computer-based map of Massachusetts.

Join us as we learn more about the BioMap and how it can be used to guide land conservation in the increasingly suburban area of Franklin, Norfolk and Wrentham. Jessica Patalano, a project specialist with the state Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program, will present a slide program and discuss how our towns can help identify additional areas of valuable habitat.

Free copies of the BioMap and the stunning 58-page report will be available at this event.
