Registration for Special State Senatorial Election and Presidential Primary Election

Wednesday, February 11, 2004, is the last day to register to vote at the Special State Senatorial Election and the Presidential Primary. Anyone who has not previously registered, is a new resident, or will become 18 on or before February 11th may register by mail or in the office of the Town Clerk. Regular office hours are Monday through Wednesday 9:00AM to 4:00PM, Thursday 9:00AM to 7:00PM and Friday 9:00AM to 1:00PM. On Wednesday, February 11th the office will remain open from 9:00AM until 8:00PM. Mail in registration forms must be postmarked by February 11th or earlier in order to qualify.

The polls will be open on Tuesday, March 2nd from 7:00AM until 8:00PM. All precincts vote in the H. Olive Day School Auditorium, 232 Main Street, Norfolk, MA.

Absentee ballots for the March 2nd election will be available for voters unable to come to the polls on that day. Absentee voting may be done either in person at the Town Clerk's Office or by mail. To request an application for an absentee ballot or for further information about absentee voting, contact the Town Clerk's Office at (508) 528-1400.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU WERE UNENROLLED AND VOTED IN A PARTY FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY IN MARCH OF 2000 AND DID NOT COMPLETE A CHANGE OF PARTY CARD, YOU ARE STILL ENROLLED IN THE PARTY IN WHICH YOU VOTED. TO CHECK YOUR ENROLLMENT ANY TIME, CALL OUR OFFICE AT 508-528-1400. YOU WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED A BALLOT FOR THE PARTY IN WHICH YOU ARE ENROLLED. YOU CAN MAKE YOUR CHOICE AT THE POLLS IF YOU ARE UNENROLLED (FORMERLY KNOWN AS INDEPENDENT).

PARTY CHANGES MUST BE MADE BY THE FEBRUARY 11TH CUT OFF TO BE EFFECTIVE FOR THE MARCH 2ND PRIMARY.
