An Invitation to Participate in the Norfolk Public Schools Superintendent Search
Dear Norfolk Parent / Community Member
As most people in the community are aware, we have begun the process of searching for a new Superintendent of Schools.
To that end, the Norfolk School Committee has engaged the services of the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to assist in this important task. Dr. James Walsh, an executive search consultant with NESDEC, will be assisting the School Committee throughout the search process. As part of the search process, NESDEC will be conducting a series of Public Forums on January 20th and January 26th.
Public Forums are an important part of the process because they are designed to obtain the input of parents and community members about the attributes, experience and knowledge they believe the new superintendent should possess. The Public Forums also provide an opportunity for participants to identify immediate tasks on which the new superintendent should concentrate.
Each session will last approximately 1-1 1/2 hours.
The Open Public Forums will be held on January 20th at 7:00p.m. and January 26th at 9:30 am at the H. Olive Day School in the Auditorium. Everyone is welcome to attend and to participate in the meetings. No previous sign-up is required. However please remember to sign in at the Main office when you enter the building.
Additionally, if you are unable to attend one of these sessions, the Norfolk School District would be pleased to receive your comments in writing. Comment forms will be available at the Superintendents office at the Freeman Centenial School.
The Norfolk School Committee wants and values your opinions. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to participate.
If you have any questions please call 508-528-1225 ext 1911.
Sincerely,
The Norfolk School Committee
