Work-At-Home Mom Fest

WAHMFEST 2001 Spotlights Work-At-Home-Moms

Medway, Ma- September 8 -- The first annual WAHMfest, a unique Work-At Home-Moms Expo, will be held Saturday, September 8, in Medway, Massachusetts. Parents who have chosen to interrupt their careers to care for their children, as well as t hose wanting to learn more about home-based employment or volunteer opportunitie s, are invited to attend the event, which will run from 10 am-4 pm.

Many parents are meeting the challenges of career and family by finding creative ways to combine the two. While some opt for long-established home-based opportu nities such as Avon, Mary Kay or Pampered Chef, others have launched their own c onsulting or free-lance businesses in areas like marketing support, public relat ions, graphic design, and website development, all of which can be accomplished in a home office with a computer and modem. Others are seeking telecommuting ar rangements.

The term 'stay-at-home-mom' is being redefined. WAHMfest is an enormous resource for companies that want to hire highly motivated, professional workers, but don 't necessarily need a 9-to-5 presence at the office.

Thirty exhibitors will participate inWAHMfest with information, business opportu nities and advice from those who have "been there". Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are still available for the program.

WAHMfest 2001 will be held at the St. Joseph's Parish Center, 145 Holliston Stre et Medway, Massachusetts 02053. Additional information and directions are avail able at www.wahmfest.org, by calling 1-877-271-5218, or by e-mailing Gleich at masswahmfest@aol.com.
